Relax in Our “Italian Piazza”
Inspired by Italy's Venetian Carnivale, we have created our own carnivale celebration in the heart of California's wine country. We have hand selected California’s finest wineries that produce italian varietals at this one-of-a-kind wine tasting event in Napa Valley. Attendees will enjoy Italian inspired food and vendors featuring a cornucopia of Italian-influenced products all at our Italian-style “piazza”.
Cal-Italia varietal wines are the focus; such as Sangiovese, Nebbiolo, Dolcetto, Barbera, Super Tuscans and Pinot Grigio from Napa, Sonoma, Central Coast and Sierra Foothill producers. This will be an opportunity to taste many cult and boutique production wines.
The tasting will culminate with the “Augusta DeVita Cal-Italia Wine Award” named for our uncle who “loved the best wine, the best food, the best cars and the best women…” Augusta, with roots to Lucca, Italy, grew up in California with a connoisseur’s palate. At the Cal-Italia Wine and Food Festival revelers will once again be able to vote for their favorites.
Italian inspiration is at the cornerstone of California lifestyle. Cal-Italia Wine and Food Festival participants will enjoyed beautiful displays of gracious living. They will be able to meet our Italian lifestyle purveyors and purchased Venetian masks, artwork, jewelry, books, collectibles and home accents & more.
Proceeds from the event will goto to the Sons of Italy Napa Lodge's College Scholarship Program.
